# Deposit and withdraw crypto

> How to put crypto into NeuroWallet and take it out to any wallet or exchange, on mobile and web. Covers the basics, every step, and fixes for common mistakes.

Moving crypto in and out of NeuroWallet takes a few taps. The risky part is the transfer itself. Pick the wrong network or paste the wrong address and the money is gone. Nobody can reverse a crypto transfer.

<Tip>
  **The short version:** choose the network first, paste the address instead of typing it, and send a small test amount before the real one.
</Tip>

## Basics

| Term | In plain terms | What to watch for |
| - | - | - |
| **Address** | Your account number for receiving crypto. | The five EVM networks share one address that starts with `0x`. Solana has its own. |
| **Network** | The road your money travels on, also called a chain. | Sender and receiver must use the same one. USDC on Base and USDC on Solana are different assets. |
| **Gas** | The network's processing fee, like postage. | On withdrawals and cash sends, the fee comes out of your cash, so you don't need ETH, SOL or BNB. Sending any other token takes its fee from your balance ([Send a token](#send-a-token-mobile)). When you deposit, the wallet or exchange you send from charges its own fee. |
| **Memo** (or tag) | A reference number some exchanges ask for, like an apartment number on a parcel. | You never need one to receive here. Add one only when the place you're sending to asks for it. |

**Cash** is NeuroWallet's name for your spendable dollars. It's USDC on Base, Solana, Arbitrum, BNB Chain and Arc, and USDG on Robinhood Chain. Anything else you deposit, USDT included, arrives as a holding that you can sell into cash. [How cash works](/products/neurowallet/overview#cash).

### Three habits that stop most losses

1. **Paste the address, then check it.** Don't type it. After pasting, compare the first four and last four characters with where you copied it. Never copy an address from your transaction history: scammers send tiny transfers from look-alike addresses so theirs shows up there.
2. **Send a small test first.** Let it arrive, then send the rest. The extra network fee is cheap next to a mistake.
3. **Keep your private key and seed phrase to yourself.** Neurobro never asks for them, and nobody on our team will.

## Deposit

<Note>
  **First time?** NeuroWallet isn't created automatically, so tap **Create NeuroWallet** first. On mobile you read a short intro and tick a box to confirm you understand the risks. On web it's one click.
</Note>

### Deposit crypto you own

Send crypto from another wallet or an exchange to your NeuroWallet address. First, check which network you're sending on:

| If you send on | Your address | It arrives as |
| - | - | - |
| Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain or Arc | Starts with `0x` | USDC |
| Robinhood Chain | Starts with `0x` | USDG |
| Solana | No `0x`, letters and numbers only | USDC |

Your `0x` address is the same on every EVM network. You still pick the network in the app, because the sender has to use the one you picked.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Deposit">
    Go to **Portfolio** (on mobile, switch to **NeuroWallet**), open **Deposit**, then choose **Crypto**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick the network">
    Choose the network you'll send from: **Select blockchain** on mobile, **Select network** on web.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the address">
    Use **Copy address**. On mobile you can also scan the QR code from another device.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send a test amount">
    In your other wallet or exchange, choose the same network, paste the address and send a small amount.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the rest">
    Once the test shows up in your activity, send the full amount. Mobile also sends you a notification.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Good to know:

* **Exchanges name networks their own way.** BNB Chain often appears as BEP20 or BSC, and Arbitrum as Arbitrum One. If an exchange offers a cheaper network that isn't in the table above, don't use it.
* **There's no Neurobro deposit fee.** The wallet or exchange you send from may charge one.

### Buy with a card or bank transfer

Open **Deposit**, choose **Cash**, enter an amount, then pick a payment method. You pay in the provider's checkout: in your browser on mobile, in a new tab on web (keep the Neurobro tab open). Your balance updates when the payment goes through.

It lands as **USDC on Solana**. Each payment method shows what you'll receive before you pay, and each provider has its own minimum and maximum. The methods you see depend on your country. For fees, see [Money in and out](/products/neurowallet/money-in-out#buy-with-a-card-or-bank-transfer).

### Common problems with deposits

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion icon="clock" title="My deposit hasn't arrived">
    Work through these in order:

    1. In the wallet or exchange you sent from, find the transaction ID (also called TXID or hash). If there isn't one, the transfer hasn't left yet.
    2. Paste it into a block explorer for that network, such as Basescan or Solscan. Check that the receiving address matches the one you copied.
    3. If the explorer shows it delivered to your address, look at your wallet activity again.
    4. Exchanges sometimes hold a withdrawal for their own review. Wait, or ask the exchange.

    Still missing after the explorer shows delivery to your address? Contact us through [community support or email](/neurobro/faq#support) and include the transaction ID.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="triangle-exclamation" title="I sent on the wrong network">
    If you sent to **your own EVM address** on an EVM network NeuroWallet doesn't support, such as Ethereum, the funds are still yours. See [the recovery steps](/products/neurowallet/money-in-out#deposit-crypto).

    If it went to an address that isn't yours, or the address doesn't fit the network (a `0x` address used for Solana, say), assume it's gone. Nobody can reverse a transfer.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="shield-check" title="The app says it couldn't verify my address">

## Withdraw and send

**Withdraw** moves cash out to any wallet or exchange. **Send**, in the mobile app, also moves other tokens. Both are final the moment you confirm.

| | Withdraw | Send |
| - | - | - |
| **What it moves** | Cash: USDC (USDG on Robinhood Chain) | Cash, or any token you hold |
| **Where** | Mobile and web | Mobile only |
| **Memo** | Solana to Solana only | None |

Fees and minimums are in [Money in and out](/products/neurowallet/money-in-out#withdraw-usdc).

### Withdraw to a wallet or exchange

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Withdraw">
    Go to **Portfolio** (on mobile, switch to **NeuroWallet**), open **Withdraw**, then choose **Crypto**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter an amount">
    The minimum is shown on screen. On mobile you can also use a percentage chip or **Max**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the network">
    Pick the one your destination expects. It has to match.

    On web, if all your cash sits on one chain, pick that chain. If you see "Not enough on" a network, choose another network or a smaller amount.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the destination">
    Paste the address. On mobile you can also scan its QR code. The app checks that the address is valid for the network, but it can't tell whose it is.

    Add a memo only if the destination asks for one. Memos work for Solana-to-Solana withdrawals only.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and confirm">
    Check the fee, what the recipient gets, the network and the address. Compare the start and end of the address with where you copied it.

    * **Mobile:** slide to withdraw. If Withdrawal Lock is on, confirm with Face ID, a fingerprint or your passcode.
    * **Web:** click **Confirm withdraw**. There's no slider, so check before you click.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Your withdrawal appears in your activity and usually settles within a few minutes. If it was a test, check that it arrived, then withdraw the rest.

### Send a token (mobile)

On web, use Withdraw to move cash.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Send">
    Go to **Portfolio**, switch to **NeuroWallet** and tap **Send**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick what to send">
    Cash is first in the list, then your tokens. Small balances, worth under about \$1, aren't listed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add amount and destination">
    Enter the amount, then paste or scan the address. Send has no memo field.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and slide to send">
    A token goes out on its own chain only. Cash can move across chains for you.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If a token's send fee can't be covered, you'll see **Add funds for the send fee**. Add USDC, or the chain's own coin, on that chain and try again.

### Cash out to your bank

Choose **Cash** instead of **Crypto** in Withdraw (it's **Cash out** on web). Steps, minimum and timing are in [Money in and out](/products/neurowallet/money-in-out#cash-out-to-local-currency).

### Common problems with withdrawals and sends

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion icon="hand" title="The app says the address looks like one I've used before">
    This warning targets address poisoning: the address is close to one you've sent to, but not the same. Compare every character with where you copied it. If it isn't the address you meant, stop. If it is, tap **Continue anyway**. Only the mobile app shows this warning.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="rotate" title="It says it couldn't confirm my withdrawal">
    Don't send it again straight away. The app checks the first attempt before it sends anything new, so nothing goes out twice. Look at your wallet activity first. On web, use **Check status**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="circle-info" title="Amount can't be sent">
    Your cash is spread across several chains, and a small remainder on one of them is too small to move. Try a slightly lower amount. Nothing was sent.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="clock" title="My withdrawal hasn't arrived">
    Find it in your wallet activity, copy the transaction ID, and look it up in a block explorer for that network. If it shows as delivered, the funds are at the destination. A missing memo is a common reason an exchange doesn't credit a deposit, so contact the exchange with the transaction ID.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="skull-crossbones" title="I sent to the wrong address">
    Nobody can reverse it. If it was your own exchange address and you left out the memo, contact that exchange with the transaction ID. If the address belongs to someone else, the funds are theirs.
